I came to know Christ at the age of 18, and am the former lead singer for the Christian Rock Band "Halo." I have literally taken what God taught me through the ministry of Halo and transferred it into New Life Community Church!

Immediately following the ministry of Halo, I recorded a solo project, "Hello Forever", which opened doors for me to minister to the body of Christ, as God clearly led me into youth ministry through that season of my life. I developed a heart for teenagers and a desire to see young people "get it" in the scheme of real life in Jesus.

I have learned that people are the same regardless of skin color, status, or culture...they all need the love of Jesus! I am committed to seeing that New Life does not become an institutional church, but a life-giving, breathing ministry to those in need of Christ!

I like watching movies and finding spiritual applications that energize my sermons. I like wearing flip flops, which I preach in, and enjoy emphasizing the realness of being who we are in Christ. I enjoy playing my guitar, writing songs, and leading the Praise Band at New Life!

I have an awesome wife, Cam, of 26 years, and 3 godly children: Wesley - 23; Jeremy - 20; Carly - 16. Wesley and Jeremy are living in Hollywood and in a band called Thalon. They lead worship every week at a bible study geared to those in the arts, and are pursuing a music career. Carly is a cheerleader at Chilton County High School and is involved in many activities, including "Blast from the Past"

My favorite music is 70's Rock, my favorite food is steak, my favorite hobby is playing guitar, and my favorite T.V. show is Andy Griffith! You can find me on my deck, many evenings and mornings, drinking coffee and praying for my family, friends, and the next adventure God has for New Life Community Church. My goal is to help everyone find their ministry and be what God has called them to be. Jesus said He came to give real, abundant, LIFE!

I became a follower and worshiper of Jesus Christ one month before I turned 16 years old. From that point on I have tried my best to give God all that I have. I am from Clanton, AL and now serve as Associate Pastor at New Life Community in Clanton. After serving as a Youth intern for a few years, under Scott Springer, God called me to a full time position as Youth Minister for five years at a church in Calera, AL. God then brought me back to Clanton to serve and reach out to this community. God has taught me many things about life, faith, and youth ministry over the past few years and I know it was all leading up to my ministry at New Life Community Church!

I love teenagers and seeing them grow in their walk with Christ. My heart is to teach and reach out to students. Then equip them to reach their friends and peers.

I graduated from Southeastern Bible College (Birmingham, AL) in 2002 with a Bachelors in Biblical Studies, with an emphasis in Youth Ministry and Music.

I love music and use it as much as possible in my ministry to reach out to Students. God has blessed with the ability to sing and play the guitar, and I love to lead Praise & Worship for Students and Adults.

While attending Southeastern Bible College I met my wife Raquel. We were married in 2001. God has given us the two most beautiful children in the world, two little girls. Isabella is 3 years old and Autumn is 2 years old. And as I write this my wife is expecting our third child.

I love outdoors and sports. In the winter you will find me hunting and the summer you will find me fishing. I love tennis, golf, football, and basketball and any other sport. I also like X-Box and movies.

My hope is that I live a life worthy of the calling of our Savior and my life is always worshiping Jesus and to let Students see Jesus in my life.
